    With over 20 years of experience working with for-profit and non-profit organizations, my approach is to provide support and practical feedback to help organizations effectively address their clients’ needs. I integrate complementary methodologies and art therapy techniques to offer a highly personalized approach tailored to each organization. With compassion and understanding, I work with each company/service organization to help them build on their strengths and attain the growth they are committed to accomplishing for their staff and/or clients.

    Mr. Anthon is an artist, art therapist, and clinical counselor who has worked in the field of art therapy for over 35 years. He has had a private practice for nearly 20 years, an enterprise that represented his core belief in the healing power of art making. His work with clients explores personal imagery in all its forms. He is currently working as a creative consultant and offers peer support to Joe's Art Time in Tampa, FL. Mr. Anthon taught in the Graduate Art Therapy Department at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and consulted at various agencies, including Back to the Beat with Cheeko Matsusaka in Sarasota, Better Existence with HIV, Center on Halsted, Test Positive Aware Network, Haymarket Center, Quetzal Rape Crisis Center, and Safe Passage (Domestic Violence). Dan has curated many art exhibitions of his own and his clients' work and facilitated useful community interactions that expanded conversations related to mental illness, substance use disorders, trauma, HIV/AIDS, and domestic violence. In the early years of his career, he worked extensively on hospital psychiatric units with adults and children, including work on a Dissociative Identity Disorders Unit, and he was the Director of Expressive Therapies for a small psychiatric hospital in Chicago.
